Introduction

Diary of the Wimpy Kid is a novel written by Jeff Kinney. The novel is the first book in the Diary of the Wimpy Kid series. The book was published in 2007 and has since been made into two movies.

The novel is about a middle school student named Greg Heffley. Greg starts a journal where he records his thoughts and experiences as he goes through middle school. Greg is not very popular and is often teased by his classmates. He does have some friends, but he is not very good at making new friends.

Greg’s parents are always telling him to be more active and to stop sitting around playing video games all day. Greg doesn’t like being active and would rather just stay inside all day. He doesn’t think middle school is very fun and he just wants it to be over.

I liked reading this book because it was funny and relatable. I could relate to Greg because I was also a shy kid who didn’t have many friends in middle school. I also thought the illustrations were well done and added to the humor of the book.

If you are looking for a funny, relatable book to read, I would recommend Diary of the Wimpy Kid.
